Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled General Surgery Specialist to join our medical team in Muscat. This role involves performing a wide range of surgical procedures, managing patient care from pre-operative assessment through post-operative recovery, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical histories and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests such as imaging and lab work.


• Perform general surgical procedures with precision and adherence to best practices.


• Develop and implement surgical treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.


• Monitor patients during and after surgery, managing post-operative care and addressing complications.


• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.


• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.


• Participate in continuing medical education and stay updated on advancements in general surgery.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.


• Completed residency in general surgery with board certification or eligibility.


• Valid medical license to practice in Oman.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Surgery Specialist.


• Excellent surgical skills and knowledge of modern surgical techniques.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and handle emergencies.
