Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist – Dermatology to join a leading healthcare facility in Muscat, Oman. This position offers the opportunity to practice both clinical and cosmetic dermatology within a multidisciplinary team, delivering exceptional patient care for a wide spectrum of skin, hair, and nail conditions. Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical dermatology consultations, including diagnosis and management of complex skin disorders.
• Deliver expert cosmetic dermatology services, utilizing evidence-based aesthetic procedures and technologies.
• Diagnose and manage chronic inflammatory conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema with personalized treatment plans.
• Evaluate and treat hair and nail disorders, including alopecia, fungal infections, and structural abnormalities.
• Administer advanced pigmentation and melasma treatments, incorporating topical, procedural, and laser-based modalities.
• Perform dermatologic surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy, adhering to strict aseptic standards.
• Collaborate with internal medicine, rheumatology, and oncology teams for systemic disease manifestations.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with national healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Participate in continuous medical education, clinical audits, and departmental quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or equivalent specialization in Dermatology (e.g., Arab Board, CCT, FRCP, or equivalent).
• Valid medical license to practice in Oman, or eligibility for licensure through the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB).
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-certification clinical experience in a hospital or specialized dermatology center.
• Proven competency in both medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language proficiency is highly advantageous for patient communication.

Preferred Skills & Expertise

• Fellowship training in dermatologic surgery, laser medicine, or pediatric dermatology.
• Experience with advanced laser systems (fractional CO2, Nd:YAG, IPL) and energy-based devices.
• Proficiency in injectable aesthetics: botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, biostimulators, and PRP therapy.
• Research background with publications in peer-reviewed dermatology journals.
• Teaching or mentoring experience with residents, fellows, or nursing staff.
• Familiarity with teledermatology platforms and digital health integration.
