Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Surgeon to join our surgical team as a General Surgery Specialist. The incumbent will be responsible for performing a wide range of surgical procedures, managing patient care before, during, and after operations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. This role demands precision, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical histories and ordering/interpretating diagnostic tests such as imaging and lab work.
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures covering abdominal, thoracic, vascular, and soft tissue surgeries.
• Oversee intra-operative patient management, ensuring sterile technique and adherence to protocols.
• Provide post-operative care, monitoring recovery, managing complications, and developing follow-up plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency surgical interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completed residency training in General Surgery from a recognized program.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
• Valid medical license to practice in Oman.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of post-residency surgical experience preferred.
