Life Guard Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and certified Life Guard to join our team in the Golf, Fitness, & Entertainment sector. The primary mission is to ensure the safety of all patrons using aquatic facilities by maintaining constant surveillance, enforcing safety rules, and executing immediate rescue procedures when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas continuously to detect signs of distress, drowning, or hazardous behavior.
• Apply approved rescue techniques swiftly and effectively when swimmers require assistance.
• Enforce facility safety regulations and communicate rules clearly to guests.
• Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment, rescue aids, and first-aid supplies.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and log daily attendance and water-quality checks.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down aquatic event equipment as needed.
• Provide basic first aid, CPR, and AED support until emergency medical services arrive.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross, RLSS, Ellis & Associates).
• Valid CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certifications.
• Strong swimming ability with demonstrated endurance and proficiency in multiple strokes.
• Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience as a lifeguard in a commercial, resort, or community pool setting.
• Excellent situational awareness, quick decision-making, and calm under pressure.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with guests, colleagues, and emergency responders.
• Physical fitness to perform rescues, lift heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Pool Operator certification.
• Experience with pool chemical testing and basic maintenance.
• Multilingual ability (English/Arabic) for diverse guest populations.
• Background in hospitality, recreation management, or sports science.

Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic indoor/outdoor aquatic environment within a premier golf, fitness, and entertainment destination in Bahrain. Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and evenings to align with peak facility usage.
