Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our team in Qatar. Under the guidance of the Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and client obligations. This position demands strong organizational skills, legal awareness, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts, agreements, and amendments.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and database, ensuring accurate tracking of key dates, deliverables, and renewal deadlines.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, flagging risks or deviations to the Contracts Manager promptly.
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and project teams to align contract terms with operational requirements.
- Draft correspondence, change orders, and contract-related documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Support dispute resolution and claims management processes by compiling relevant contract clauses and supporting evidence.
- Conduct regular audits of contract files to ensure completeness and adherence to corporate governance standards.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on contract administration processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator, Contract Specialist, or similar role in a corporate or project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract law principles, commercial terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager) or CCM (Certified Contract Manager).
- Experience in the construction, oil & gas, or engineering sectors within the GCC region.
- Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or other standard contract forms.
- Background in procurement or supply chain management.
