About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to support the financial management of major infrastructure and utilities projects in Qatar. This role is critical for ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with project budgets and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports for multiple large-scale projects.
• Monitor project costs, revenues, and cash flows to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers to track expenditures and provide financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and international accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of annual audits and financial statements.
• Support the implementation of accounting systems and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in infrastructure or utilities.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems in a project-based environment.
• Knowledge of Qatari tax and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
