Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join the Radisson Hotel Group in Kuwait. This senior-level role oversees the building and engineering operations of a major hotel property, ensuring all systems function at optimal levels. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hotel engineering management experience, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all building maintenance and engineering operations for the hotel, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Lead a team of technicians and engineers, providing training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage the engineering budget, including cost control and procurement of supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and new installations as needed.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a senior engineering role within the hospitality industry, preferably with a large hotel chain. Proven track record of managing building systems and leading teams.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Plant Engineer) are highly desirable.

Skills: Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and automation systems. Strong project management and budgeting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in maintenance management software.

Preferred: Experience in the Middle East, especially in Kuwait, is a plus. Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
