About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead human resources operations in Bahrain. This pivotal role oversees the full employee lifecycle, ensuring organizational structure aligns with business objectives while fostering a compliant and engaging workplace. The HR Manager will drive recruitment strategy, maintain job architecture, and support workforce planning across the Capital Governorate and broader Bahrain market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain organizational structure by updating job descriptions, job specifications, and position classifications for all roles
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for vacancies across departments
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs compliant with Bahrain Labour Law and local regulations
- Manage performance management systems, including goal setting, appraisals, and feedback mechanisms
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, salary benchmarking, and payroll coordination
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures
- Drive learning and development initiatives, training needs analysis, and succession planning
- Ensure HR compliance with LMRA, GOSI, and other Bahrain regulatory bodies
- Maintain accurate HRIS/HRMS records, personnel files, and workforce analytics reporting
- Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of Bahrain Labour Law, LMRA regulations, and GOSI requirements
- Proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation
- Strong command of HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or local platforms)
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency highly preferred
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, CIPD, or equivalent) is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Bahrain private sector or multinational environment
- Background in Emiratization/Bahrainization programs and nationalization quotas
- Expertise in HR analytics, workforce planning tools, and data-driven decision making
- Change management certification (Prosci, CCMP) desirable
