Mechanical Technician – Level 3

- Role Summary
Advanced installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas generator sets, with a focus on Jenbacher engines.
- Key Responsibilities
• Diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on gas generator sets (Jenbacher specialization)
• Preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical and control systems
• Lead commissioning and decommissioning at customer sites
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Mentor junior technicians; manage spare parts inventory
- Required Qualifications
• 5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Technician in power generation
• Jenbacher gas engine experience preferred; Waukesha, CAT, MTU, Rolls-Royce or similar accepted
Mandatory Certifications: FTB (Field Technician Basic) Certification, MR3 (Maintenance Repair Level 3) Certification.
Strong understanding of fuel, ignition, cooling, and emissions control systems
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and software
• Willingness to travel frequently on short notice
- Preferred
• Diploma/Associate's in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Technology, or related field
• CE1 (Commissioning Engineer 1) Certification.
• CE2 (Commissioning Engineer 2) Certification.
