Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated QA/QC Document Controller to join our dynamic team in the heavy industry and metallurgy sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our documentation processes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. As a key member of the quality assurance team, you will manage, organize, and control all project and operational documents, ensuring accurate version control, timely distribution, and strict adherence to industry regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Document Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of quality-related documents including procedures, specifications, inspection records, and test reports. Maintain a centralized document control system that is accessible and auditable.
- Quality Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant quality management standards. Collaborate with QA/QC engineers to verify documentation accuracy.
- Version Control & Distribution: Implement and maintain strict version control protocols. Distribute controlled copies to relevant departments and ensure obsolete documents are properly archived or disposed of.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation packages for internal and external audits. Assist in audit responses by providing accurate records and traceability.
- Coordination: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect, review, and process documents. Ensure timely submission of deliverables.
- Database Maintenance: Update and maintain electronic and physical document databases. Generate reports on document status and compliance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in heavy industry, metallurgy, or similar sectors.
- Strong knowledge of document control procedures and quality management systems (QMS).
- Familiarity with ISO standards related to documentation (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems) such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar.
- Knowledge of heavy industrial processes, metallurgy, or engineering terminology.
- Certification in document control or quality management (e.g., IADC, API).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
