Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the construction and building industry in Kuwait. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about managing costs, ensuring project profitability, and maintaining high standards of quantity surveying practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis to support project planning.
- Monitor project expenditures and track variations to ensure cost control.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve cost-related issues.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts in accordance with contract terms.
- Assess and manage claims, change orders, and risk allocations.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs and contractual documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably in Kuwait or the Gulf region.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar standard contract conditions.
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
- Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent).
- Experience with large-scale building projects (residential, commercial, or infrastructure).
- Familiarity with local market rates, procurement processes, and Kuwait building regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
