A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the movement of goods from suppliers to customers efficiently and cost-effectively. They coordinate transportation, monitor shipments, maintain inventory records, and ensure timely delivery while complying with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
* Schedule transportation and delivery with carriers and suppliers.
* Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or delays.
* Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, and customs paperwork.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
* Communicate with warehouses, vendors, and customers regarding shipment status.
* Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety standards, and company procedures.
* Analyze logistics performance and recommend process improvements.
* Maintain accurate records in logistics and inventory management systems.
* Negotiate freight rates and manage transportation costs when applicable.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations (preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience with ERP or logistics management software is an advantage.
* Knowledge of shipping regulations and inventory management practices.
