Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer 1 to join our dynamic team in Algiers. Our cutting-edge solutions serve as critical components across diverse sectors including electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production, and infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex technical offerings and client needs, driving revenue growth through consultative solution selling and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target industries such as electronics, medical devices, renewable energy, and industrial infrastructure.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements, showcasing the value proposition of our solutions.
- Collaborate>Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop customized proposals, technical specifications, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including procurement managers, R&D directors, and C-level executives.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, including feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and integration planning.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position our portfolio.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent technical discipline.
- Proven experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or application engineering within B2B environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation, or process control systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within the region to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Fluency in English; Arabic and/or French language skills are a significant advantage for the Algerian market.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience selling into electronics manufacturing, medical research facilities, renewable energy projects, or food processing plants.
- Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies (e.g., SPIN, Challenger Sale, Solution Selling).
- Technical certifications relevant to our product lines (e.g., PLC programming, SCADA systems, IoT platforms).
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a technical capital equipment or software environment.
- Experience working in multicultural teams and navigating complex procurement processes.
