What You'll Own

• Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of the Early Warning System (EWS) pilot across target schools in the Tindouf area.
• Strengthen school management practices by developing actionable tools, protocols, and training modules for school leadership teams.
• Coordinate closely with the UNICEF Education Section and local education authorities to ensure alignment with national strategies and frameworks.
• Collect, analyze, and report on EWS data to inform decision-making and course-correct the pilot in real time.
• Build the capacity of school administrators and education officers to sustain EWS practices beyond the pilot phase.
• Document lessons learned, best practices, and scalable recommendations for potential nationwide rollout.

What You Bring

• Advanced degree in Education, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Proven senior-level experience in education program management, school improvement, or education systems strengthening in Algeria or comparable contexts.
• Demonstrated expertise in early warning systems, dropout prevention, or student retention strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate field data into clear programmatic recommendations.
• Fluency in Arabic and French is essential; professional proficiency in English is a strong asset.
• Deep understanding of the Algerian education system and the specific challenges facing schools in the Tindouf region.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, office-based setting over a 9-month engagement.
