Position: Chargé Export (Export Officer)
Location: Oued Smar, Daïra El Harrach, Algiers, Algeria
Profile Level: Beginner to Junior
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Chargé Export to join our team based in Oued Smar, Daïra El Harrach, Algiers. The ideal candidate is a beginner to junior-level professional eager to develop a career in international trade and export operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate export operations, including shipment preparation and logistics follow-up
- Prepare and verify export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and international clients
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of export transactions and update internal databases
- Assist in negotiating terms with international partners and suppliers
- Track market trends and identify new export opportunities
- Collaborate with internal departments including sales, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth export processes
- Handle customer inquiries related to export orders and provide timely responses
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Entry-level or junior experience in export, international trade, or logistics (internships accepted)
- Strong understanding of export documentation and Incoterms
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills in French and English (Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Dynamic, proactive, and highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn
