Overview

Join the United Nations Information Centre in Algiers (UNIC Algiers) as an intern in Infographics/Design and Photography/Video. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the UN's global communications efforts while gaining hands-on experience in visual storytelling, graphic design, and multimedia production. You will work within the Information Centres Service (ICS), Outreach Division (OD), Department of Global Communications, supporting the UN's mission to inform and engage audiences worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce infographics, visual assets, and multimedia content for UNIC Algiers' communication campaigns.
• Assist in photography and video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
• Support the creation of social media graphics, presentations, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with the communications team to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment.
• Contribute to the development of creative concepts for outreach and awareness initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

• Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Photography, Film, Multimedia, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in infographic design, photography, and/or video editing.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with UN systems or international organizations.
• Experience with social media content creation and analytics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
