About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Food & Beverage to lead all F&B operations in a prestigious hotel or hospitality establishment in Algiers. This senior leadership role oversees culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all food and beverage outlets, including fine dining restaurants, casual dining, bars, and in-room dining.
- Develop and implement innovative menus and beverage programs in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Bar Manager.
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs, inventory, and budgets to meet financial targets.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of chefs, servers, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all F&B areas.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic pricing, promotions, and upselling initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction through regular inspections and feedback analysis.
- Collaborate with marketing and events teams to plan and execute special events, banquets, and catering services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, local market preferences, and competitor offerings to keep the F&B operations competitive.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in food and beverage management, with at least 2 years in a director-level role.
- Proven track record of managing multiple F&B outlets in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L analysis, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or French is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Algerian or North African hospitality markets.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., HACCP).
- Familiarity with local culinary traditions and ingredient sourcing in Algiers.
- Proficiency in F&B management software (e.g., Micros, Simphony, or similar).
