Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among students. This role requires a dedicated professional who can inspire students of varying ages and abilities to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity and sports.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver structured physical education lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards
• Assess and monitor student progress in physical fitness, motor skills, and sports knowledge
• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students during PE sessions
• Organize and lead extracurricular sports activities, inter-school competitions, and fitness events
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to support holistic student development
• Maintain equipment and ensure the sports facility meets health and safety standards
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance and well-being in physical education

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification or certification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching PE in an international or private school setting
• Strong knowledge of age-appropriate physical activities and sports pedagogy
• Current first aid and CPR certification is preferred
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs and cultural backgrounds

Essential Skills

• Strong communication and motivational skills to engage students effectively
• Proficiency in designing fitness programs tailored to different age groups
• Knowledge of health, safety, and safeguarding protocols in school sports
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage
