Role Summary
A dedicated Teacher Assistant is required to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students within a DSGD-approved educational environment in Qatar. This position involves close collaboration with lead teachers to deliver high-quality instruction, maintain an organized classroom, and foster a positive learning atmosphere. The role demands a proactive approach to student engagement, individualized support, and adherence to curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons aligned with the DSGD-approved curriculum.
- Provide targeted academic support to students individually or in small groups, reinforcing learning objectives.
- Support the social and emotional development of students through positive behavior management and mentorship.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials, resources, and learning aids for daily instructional activities.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to assessment and reporting processes.
- Supervise students during non-instructional periods including breaks, transitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, specialists, and parents to support individualized education plans (IEPs) where applicable.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field preferred.
- Recognized teaching assistant certification or relevant pedagogical training.
- Proven experience working in a school setting or educational support role.
- Familiarity with international curriculum frameworks (British, American, IB) is advantageous.
- Strong command of English language; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Valid background check and eligibility to work in Qatar.
