About the Role

Groupe Scolaire Afdal Oujda, established in 2006, seeks a qualified English Teacher to join its academic team in Oujda, Morocco. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons aligned with the school curriculum
• Teach English across multiple grade levels, adapting methodology for different age groups and proficiency levels
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools
• Evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and oral examinations
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
• Integrate technology and multimedia resources into English language instruction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Linguistics, Education, or related field
• Teaching certification or qualification recognized in Morocco (CAPES, Agrégation, or equivalent)
• Native or near-native proficiency in English (C1/C2 level)
• Proficiency in French (minimum B2 level) for communication within the school environment
• Previous teaching experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to professional growth and collaborative teaching practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Education
• Experience teaching in Moroccan private schools or French-system schools
• Familiarity with Cambridge English exams (YLE, KET, PET, FCE) preparation
• Experience with interactive whiteboards and educational technology platforms
• Background in extracurricular activity coordination (English clubs, drama, debate)
