Job Overview

The Staff Nurse provides direct and indirect age-specific care for assigned patients in medical surgical nursing units per scheduled shifts. This role is primarily responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, discharge instructions, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate patient records, document interventions, and report changes in condition.
• Ensure infection control and safety measures are strictly followed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (e.g., BSN or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical surgical nursing or acute care settings.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
