Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our engineering team in Egypt. This senior-level position demands deep expertise in the structural design of concrete buildings, with a strong preference for candidates who have also worked on steel structure design. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional capable of leading complex structural engineering projects from concept through construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of concrete building projects, ensuring compliance with international building codes and local standards.
• Prepare detailed working drawings and permit drawings that meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard software including ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
• Design and detail steel structures where applicable, including connections, framing systems, and composite construction.
• Perform thorough drawing reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability across all project phases.
• Coordinate effectively with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and optimize structural solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of structural engineering workflows.

Requirements

Hard Skills

• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a primary focus on concrete building design.
• Proven experience in steel structure design is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in preparing working drawings and permit drawings for construction projects.
• Advanced command of structural analysis and design software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and similar tools.
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles, including load path analysis, foundation design, and seismic design considerations.
• Familiarity with building codes and standards relevant to the Egyptian and regional construction industry.
