Job Summary
We are currently seeking an Information Security Systems Engineer to join our operations in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security infrastructure to protect organizational systems and data assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage information security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Monitor network traffic for security breaches, investigate violations, and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential threats.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of network devices and servers.
- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation plans.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Must hold a Cisco Certified Network Security Assistant (CCNA Security) certification.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, firewall management, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Knowledge of operating system security for Windows and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, or Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience in a similar information security or network security engineering role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
