Internship Opportunity – Child Protection & Migration Programme
We are seeking a motivated and passionate intern to join our Section Protection de l'Enfance within the Migration Programme based in Rabat, Morocco. This is a 3-month internship designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in child protection, migration-related programming, and humanitarian work.
About the Role
As an intern in the Child Protection and Migration section, you will support initiatives aimed at safeguarding the rights and well-being of children affected by migration. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful fieldwork while developing professional competencies in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of child protection activities within the migration programme framework
- Support case management processes for vulnerable children and families on the move
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting on child protection indicators
- Participate in coordination meetings with partner organizations and stakeholders
- Help prepare training materials, awareness-raising content, and informational resources
- Support field visits and community outreach activities in and around Rabat
- Assist in documenting best practices, lessons learned, and programme outcomes
- Contribute to administrative and logistical tasks as required by the programme team
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree programme in social sciences, law, international relations, human rights, psychology, sociology, or a related field
- Strong interest in child protection, migration, humanitarian affairs, and human rights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French; proficiency in English and/or Arabic is a strong asset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous volunteer or internship experience in NGOs or humanitarian settings is an advantage
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to the principles of child safeguarding and do-no-harm
