Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Database Analyst (Oracle) to join our team in Oman. This role is open exclusively to local Omani nationals who hold a valid Family Book. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing Oracle database environments to support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning strategies.
- Design and implement backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
- Manage user access, roles, and database security.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database schemas.
- Document database configurations, processes, and incidents.
Qualifications
- Must be an Omani national with a valid Family Book.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Database Analyst with a focus on Oracle.
- Proven experience with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, or 19c.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., OCA, OCP) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
