About the Role
We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Manager to lead the digital commerce strategy for a leading industrial company. This role owns the end-to-end online sales channel, driving revenue growth, optimizing customer acquisition, and enhancing the digital shopping experience. You will define the e-commerce roadmap, manage platform operations, and collaborate cross-functionally to align digital initiatives with overall business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Manage the e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom solutions) including product merchandising, pricing, promotions, and content.
- Own the P&L for the online channel: revenue targets, budget management, ROI optimization, and forecasting.
- Lead digital marketing efforts: SEO/SEM, email marketing, social commerce, affiliate programs, and paid media to drive traffic and conversion.
- Analyze performance data (Google Analytics, BI tools) to identify opportunities, optimize funnels, and improve customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Oversee order fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics coordination to ensure seamless delivery and returns.
- Collaborate with IT, marketing, sales, supply chain, and customer service teams to launch new products, campaigns, and site enhancements.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain competitive advantage.
- Manage vendor relationships (agencies, platform providers, payment gateways) and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, local laws) and payment security standards (PCI DSS).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce management, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or B2B sectors.
- Proven track record of growing online revenue and managing a profitable e-commerce P&L.
- Deep expertise in e-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Magento/Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar).
- Strong command of digital marketing channels: SEO, SEM, email automation, social advertising, and marketplace management (Amazon, etc.).
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and order management systems.
- Excellent project management abilities, with a history of leading site redesigns, replatforming, or major feature rollouts.
- Fluency in English and French; Arabic is a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in international e-commerce expansion and multi-currency/multi-language setups.
- Knowledge of headless commerce architectures and modern tech stacks (React, Node.js, GraphQL).
- Certification in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or platform-specific credentials (Shopify Expert, Magento Certified).
- Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with B2B e-commerce complexities: quote-to-cash, tiered pricing, customer-specific catalogs.
