Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team in Bahrain. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery to ensure all linens, garments, and fabrics are cleaned to the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing machines, dry cleaning equipment, and drying machinery in accordance with established procedures.
• Add appropriate cleaning chemicals and detergents to machines, ensuring correct measurements and safe handling.
• Regularly clean lint traps and machine filters to maintain optimal equipment performance and safety.
• Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and determine whether items require repair, spot treatment, or replacement.
• Sort, categorize, and tag laundry items based on fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly folded, pressed, packaged, and prepared for delivery or redistribution.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the laundry facility at all times.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and laundry chemicals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to identify different fabric types and apply appropriate cleaning methods.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect stains, tears, and other garment imperfections.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads of laundry.
• Good understanding of chemical safety and proper handling of cleaning agents.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production targets.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with industrial laundry machinery and dry cleaning processes.
• Familiarity with quality control standards in textile and fabric care.
• Basic communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
