About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our Engineering & Facilities team in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture across residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with various painting techniques and tools, including brushes, spray guns, and rollers.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling holes, and priming before paint application.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet client or project specifications.
- Operate painting tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and ladders safely and efficiently.
- Protect surrounding areas, fixtures, and furniture using drop cloths, masking tape, and coverings during painting work.
- Inspect completed work to ensure even coverage, smooth finishes, and compliance with quality standards.
- Perform minor surface repairs including patching drywall, caulking, and sealing before finishing.
- Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment after each use.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations on job sites.
- Coordinate with facility managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Estimate material quantities and time requirements for assigned painting tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, coatings, stains, and surface preparation methods.
- Proficiency in using brushes, rollers, and spray painting equipment.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor throughout the workday.
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering clean, even, and high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and proper handling of paints and solvents.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with decorative painting, textured finishes, or wallpaper installation.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, technical drawings, or work orders.
- Knowledge of different paint types (oil-based, water-based, epoxy) and their appropriate applications.
- Valid driving license is a plus.
