About the Role

Calo, launched in November 2019, is on a mission to make healthy eating easy. We are a dedicated team driving this mission by providing better, faster, and cheaper ways to access food through our innovative platform.

We are currently seeking a Stewarding Team Lead to join our operations in Kuwait. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operational excellence and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency within our facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the stewarding team to ensure seamless daily operations
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain operational workflow efficiency
• Monitor and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards across all stewarding areas
• Manage staff scheduling, task allocation, and performance evaluations
• Ensure proper maintenance and handling of all operational equipment and facilities
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve team productivity
• Prepare regular reports on team performance and operational metrics
• Train and onboard new team members on company protocols and best practices
• Address and resolve any operational issues promptly to minimize disruption
• Collaborate with management to identify areas for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven experience in a stewarding, facilities, or operations leadership role
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus
• Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing operational needs

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in food tech, hospitality, or food service operations
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Knowledge of Kuwait labor laws and workplace regulations
• Certification in food safety or occupational health and safety
