About the Role
HYDRAPHARM, a major player in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking a Key Account Manager specializing in Achat (Procurement/Purchasing) to join our team in Algiers, Algeria. This role is central to managing strategic supplier relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the seamless supply of products and services that support our mission of improving patient lives across Algeria.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal procurement outcomes for the organization.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and supply reliability.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including supply chain, logistics, quality assurance, and finance to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
- Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to pharmaceutical industry standards and Algerian regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in key account management, procurement, or purchasing, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of achieving measurable cost savings.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools and procurement software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and French; English proficiency is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with international pharmaceutical suppliers and understanding of import/export regulations in Algeria.
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and pharmaceutical quality standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term strategic partnerships.
- Knowledge of public procurement processes and tendering procedures in Algeria.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional procurement initiatives.
