Material Engineer – Oman

We are seeking a qualified Material Engineer to join a construction-focused team in Oman. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in construction material testing and quality control, ensuring all project materials meet required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct material testing and analysis for construction projects to ensure compliance with quality standards.


• Perform quality control inspections on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.


• Prepare detailed reports on material test results and recommend corrective actions when necessary.


• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and site engineers to maintain material quality throughout the construction lifecycle.


• Ensure all testing procedures adhere to international and local standards and regulations.


• Monitor and evaluate material performance to support project durability and safety requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.


• 5–10 years of experience in construction material testing and quality control.


• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methodologies, and quality assurance protocols.


• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, and BS codes.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented construction environment.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in laboratory testing equipment and material analysis tools.


• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.


• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.


• Effective communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
