Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this key role, you will support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. Core Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of line cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
• Maintain strict adherence to recipes, portion controls, and food quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, assisting with ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used, maintained, and cleaned according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper techniques, safety protocols, and brand standards.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP).
• Step in to cover for the Sous Chef or Executive Chef in their absence as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure during peak service hours.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
• Valid food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent).
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Culinary degree or diploma from an accredited institution.
• Experience with international cuisines or fine dining concepts.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and kitchen ordering systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
