Role Overview
Egis, an international player active in architecture, consulting, construction engineering and mobility services, is seeking a Design Audit Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing design deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify design risks, propose improvements, and maintain quality across all phases of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of engineering designs for infrastructure, building, and mobility projects.
- Review design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify design discrepancies, non-conformities, and potential risks; recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design teams to resolve audit findings and improve design processes.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to project stakeholders.
- Ensure designs adhere to local and international codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in design review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering, with at least 2 years in design audit or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes), and construction practices.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with international projects and familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and design review tools.
- Experience in infrastructure, transportation, or building projects in the Middle East.
