We are a leading Egyptian frozen food manufacturer and exporter, serving discerning customers across Europe, North and South America, Australia, and the Arab world. We are seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations at our large food factory in Alexandria.

About the Job

As the Cost Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing cost accounting functions, ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. This role is critical for maintaining cost efficiency and supporting strategic decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the cost accounting team and ensure timely and accurate cost calculations for all products.
• Analyze production costs, variances, and margins to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage inventory valuation and reconciliation processes in compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and present findings to senior management.
• Coordinate with production and supply chain departments to track raw material costs and waste.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems and internal audit procedures.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in a large factory environment.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
