About the Role
Otis, a global leader in the elevator and escalate industry, is hiring a Financial Accountant – Accounts Payable to join its finance team in Casablanca, Morocco. This position is based at the Coline Business Center, La Coline II, Californie – Ain Chock, Casablanca, and offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a company that moves billions of people every day worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, coding, and timely payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders
- Process and review purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and approval workflows
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and month-end closing activities related to AP
- Support accounts receivable tasks and general ledger maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with procurement, treasury, and other finance teams to ensure smooth cash flow management
- Assist in audit preparation by providing documentation and supporting schedules
- Generate periodic financial reports and aging analyses for management review
- Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and local Moroccan accounting regulations
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable workflows and implement process enhancements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role within a corporate or multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and/or local GAAP)
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise platforms)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills in English; French proficiency is highly desirable given the Moroccan business context
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team
- Knowledge of Moroccan tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements is a plus
