About the Company

We are a specialized landscaping and irrigation contracting company providing design, construction, maintenance, and irrigation solutions for commercial, residential, healthcare, and contractor clients across Cairo, Egypt. We are seeking a highly responsible and results-oriented Operations Manager to serve as the second-in-command within the organization and oversee daily operations, project execution, and team management.

Role Overview

This is a senior leadership position critical to supporting the company's growth, improving operational performance, and ensuring business continuity. The successful candidate will act as the deputy to the Managing Director and must be capable of running daily operations, leading the team, and maintaining business continuity with minimal dependence on the Managing Director.

Please note: Technical expertise is NOT the primary selection criterion. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following priorities: management and follow-up ability, ownership and decision-making, personal discipline and professional commitment, followed by technical background.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the company's day-to-day operations across all active sites.
• Supervise project managers, engineers, site teams, and support staff.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate between the technical office, site operations, procurement, and finance functions.
• Lead weekly operational review meetings and follow up on action plans.
• Manage workforce allocation, resource planning, and project priorities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors during project execution.
• Prepare and submit regular management reports covering project status, operational performance, resource utilization, and risks and challenges.
• Act on behalf of the Managing Director in operational matters when required.
• Review project needs for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure administrative decisions are implemented and tasks are closed on schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in landscaping, irrigation, construction, maintenance, or project operations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams and managing project execution.
• Proven experience managing teams of 10–30 employees and multiple project sites simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project management, site operations, and resource planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of results.
• Highly accountable, dependable, and disciplined.
• Strong in execution and follow-through.
• Capable of making sound operational decisions without constant supervision.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to build structure, improve processes, and lead teams effectively.
• Experience dealing with clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Interested in growing with the company over the long term.
