Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Information Security Systems Engineer to join our operations in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security infrastructure across the organization's network environment. This role demands a strong foundation in network security principles, hands-on experience with Cisco security technologies, and a current Cisco Certified Network Security Assistant (CCNA Security) certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage information security systems and network security infrastructure
• Configure and maintain Cisco firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances
• Monitor network traffic for security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activity
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity standards
• Respond to and remediate security incidents in a timely and effective manner
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of security configurations, audit logs, and system changes

Requirements

• Hold a valid CCNA Security (Cisco Certified Network Security Assistant) certification
• Strong understanding of network security fundamentals, TCP/IP, and routing/switching
• Hands-on experience with Cisco security solutions including ASA firewalls, Firepower, and Umbrella
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and security information management
• Knowledge of firewall management, access control lists, and VPN configuration
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
