About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer III specializing in Automation Testing to join our engineering team in Bahrain. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline and drive continuous improvement in test coverage and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test suites for web, mobile, and API services using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar).
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable rapid and reliable releases.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to test infrastructure improvements.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automation testing trends and tools to continuously enhance the testing process.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on automation testing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#; strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools; experience with RESTful API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Agile: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and code review practices.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent quality assurance certification.
