About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist – Real Estate Management to join the Facilities Management division in Qatar. Reporting directly to the Head of Technical Facilities, this position sits within the Operations and Services department and focuses on optimizing property performance through strategic facility operations. The role demands a blend of technical oversight, asset management, and vendor coordination to ensure seamless real estate functionality across the portfolio.
Core Responsibilities (Facilities Management Specialist Duties)
- Oversee daily facility operations across diverse real estate assets, ensuring strict compliance with Qatar’s safety regulations, municipality codes, and international standards.
- Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Manage end-to-end vendor relationships and service level agreements to guarantee cost-effective, timely, and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive site inspections, condition audits, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate operational disruptions.
- Prepare, monitor, and control facility budgets, capital expenditure plans, and monthly operational reports for senior leadership review.
- Drive sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency measures aligned with organizational ESG goals and local regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support space planning, relocation projects, and emergency response protocols.
- Maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance logs, and documentation systems to ensure audit readiness and data integrity.
Requirements & Qualifications (Real Estate Facilities Specialist Criteria)
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Real Estate Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven track record in facilities management within commercial, residential, or mixed-use real estate environments in the GCC region.
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and Qatar’s regulatory landscape including Civil Defense and Ministry of Municipality requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in CAFM platforms (e.g., Archibus, Planon, FM:Systems), MS Office Suite, and data analytics tools for performance tracking.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English; Arabic language capability is a strong advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or LEED Green Associate are highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural setting while maintaining attention to detail.
