Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Rabat. This role focuses on developing and validating complex embedded systems using Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies. The successful candidate will leverage tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow to design, simulate, and automatically generate code for safety-critical applications, primarily within the automotive and aerospace domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Simulink models and Stateflow charts for embedded control systems.
- Perform model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) verification and validation.
- Implement automatic code generation workflows using Embedded Coder for production-quality C/C++ code.
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards including ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to define requirements and architecture using SysML or UML.
- Optimize models for performance, memory footprint, and real-time execution on target hardware.
- Define and enforce modeling guidelines (e.g., MAAB, JMAAB) and conduct model reviews.
- Support integration activities with AUTOSAR classic and adaptive platforms.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Model-Based Design for embedded systems.
- Proven expertise with MathWorks toolchain: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Test, Embedded Coder.
- Strong understanding of embedded C programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and microcontroller architectures.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of ASPICE or CMMI process frameworks is a plus.
- Fluent in English; French language proficiency is highly desirable for the Moroccan work environment.
