Early Years Teacher – British School in Riffa, Bahrain
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Female Early Years Teacher to join a well-established British curriculum school in Riffa, Bahrain for an August 2026 start. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education in a values-driven, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS framework and British National Curriculum.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment for children aged 3–5 years.
- Observe, assess, and record each child's progress using EYFS assessment tools.
- Develop strong partnerships with parents and guardians through regular communication and reporting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Early Years provision and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Uphold the school's values, policies, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE) with Early Years specialization.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an EYFS or British curriculum setting.
- Proven experience with phonics programs (e.g., Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc.) and early literacy/numeracy development.
- Familiarity with EYFS profile assessment and tracking systems (e.g., Tapestry, Learning Journals).

Desirable Criteria
- Experience teaching in the Middle East or Gulf region.
- Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- First Aid and Safeguarding certification.
