Job Overview

The USAID Power Tunisia Program seeks a highly skilled Logistics and Security Officer to oversee all logistical operations and security protocols for the initiative. This full-time, fixed-term position is based in Tunis, Tunisia, and plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of program activities while maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics for program events, workshops, and field visits, including transportation, accommodation, and equipment procurement.
• Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, risk assessments, and emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate with local authorities, vendors, and security providers to maintain compliance with USAID regulations.
• Monitor security conditions across program locations and provide real-time updates to management.
• Oversee inventory management, asset tracking, and supply chain operations.
• Conduct security training and drills for program staff and partners.
• Prepare detailed reports on logistics and security incidents, trends, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, security management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in logistics and security operations, preferably with international development programs or NGOs.
• Proven knowledge of USAID security policies and procedures is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Tunisia.

Desired Skills

• Experience in conflict zones or high-risk environments.
• Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) or first aid.
• Familiarity with Tunisian security landscape and local networks.
