Role Overview

OPEN Media Hub is inviting journalists to apply for production support grants for in-depth reports. This opportunity is focused on the Tunisia region and centers on the theme of freedom of expression. Selected journalists will receive backing to produce high-quality investigative or narrative reports that contribute to a more informed public discourse.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and pitch original report ideas aligned with the theme of freedom of expression.
• Conduct thorough research, field investigations, and interviews to gather accurate information.
• Produce polished, fact-checked reports suitable for publication or broadcast.
• Adhere to ethical journalism standards, including source verification and balanced reporting.
• Collaborate with the OPEN Media Hub editorial team to refine story angles and meet production timelines.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in journalism, investigative reporting, or media production.
• Strong portfolio of published or broadcast reports demonstrating analytical depth and storytelling ability.
• Freedom of expression and human rights issues.
• Fluency in Arabic is required; proficiency in French or English is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced media environment.
