Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join its research team focused on the development and implementation of an integrated and sustainable architecture, with direct application to the Jorf Lasfar supply chain. This postdoctoral position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in sustainable industrial systems and supply chain optimization within one of Morocco's most dynamic economic hubs.
Research Scope & Responsibilities
- Design and develop an integrated and sustainable architecture framework tailored to the Jorf Lasfar supply chain ecosystem.
- Conduct advanced research on sustainable supply chain management, green logistics, and industrial ecology.
- Model and implement architectural solutions that integrate sustainability principles into supply chain operations and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental scientists, and industry stakeholders.
- Analyze the environmental, economic, and social dimensions of the Jorf Lasfar industrial platform.
- Develop simulation tools and decision-support systems for sustainable architecture deployment.
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Contribute to grant proposals and funded research projects in the field of sustainable industrial development.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in sustainable architecture, green building design, or sustainable industrial systems.
- Strong research background with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience with supply chain modeling, life cycle assessment (LCA), or industrial ecology methodologies.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for architectural design, simulation, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with the Jorf Lasfar industrial platform and its supply chain dynamics.
- Knowledge of circular economy principles and their application to supply chains.
- Experience with GIS tools, BIM software, or digital twin technologies.
- Background in renewable energy integration within industrial architecture.
- Prior postdoctoral or industry research experience in sustainability-focused projects.
