About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction and contracting firm in Kuwait. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage cost estimation, contract administration, and project valuation across large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and budgets for construction projects from inception to completion.
• Manage contract administration, including the preparation of tender documents, contract terms, and conditions.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenditures without compromising quality.
• Monitor and evaluate variation orders and ensure proper documentation of all project changes.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project costs and timelines.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and interim payment certificates for client approval.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies related to project costs.
• Ensure compliance with local Kuwaiti regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and delivery terms.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions and project documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including FIDIC and similar international standards.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects in the Gulf region.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and software.
• Professional certification such as RICS or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Kuwaiti construction regulations and market conditions.
