About the Role
Vodafone is seeking a skilled Office IT Tech Specialist to join our technology team in Egypt. This role is central to maintaining seamless IT operations across our office environment, ensuring that all end-user systems, network connectivity, and collaboration tools function reliably. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support, hardware and software troubleshooting, and IT asset management within a dynamic, enterprise-scale telecommunications setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies across Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Oversee IT asset lifecycle: procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and secure disposal.
- Configure and deploy standardized workstation images using MDT, SCCM, or Intune.
- Monitor and maintain local network infrastructure: switches, access points, DHCP/DNS, and VLANs.
- Coordinate with vendor support for escalated hardware repairs and warranty claims.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Support meeting room technology: video conferencing systems, displays, and wireless presentation tools.
- Participate in IT projects such as office relocations, rollouts, and security hardening initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, Helpdesk Technician, or similar role in a corporate environment.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN concepts.
- Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, Jamf, or similar).
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, Freshservice).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize under pressure.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator (MD-100/MD-101), or ITIL Foundation.
- Experience with VoIP systems (Cisco, Avaya) and unified communications platforms.
- Scripting ability in PowerShell or Bash for automation of repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity basics: endpoint protection, patch management, phishing awareness.
- Previous experience in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise environments.
