About the Role
Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is seeking an Assistant Professor of Satellite System Integration and Testing to join its research and innovation team. This position is dedicated to advancing aerospace engineering education and research within Africa, contributing to UM6P's mission of becoming a world-renowned institution in science and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level research in satellite system integration, testing protocols, and validation methodologies.
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace engineering, satellite technology, and systems engineering.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and laboratory work related to space systems.
- Collaborate with industry partners and research institutions on satellite development and testing initiatives.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancement in space engineering.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Participate in university service activities, including committee work and academic advising.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on satellite systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in satellite integration, testing, and verification processes.
- Strong publication record in relevant space technology and engineering disciplines.
- Experience with spacecraft systems, including subsystems such as power, communications, and thermal control.
- Ability to secure external research funding and manage research projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is an asset.
