Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced F&B Service Expert to join our hospitality team in Amman, Jordan. Core Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding guest service by greeting, seating, and attending to diners with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to exceed expectations at every touchpoint.
- Demonstrate thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and pairing recommendations, to guide guests confidently through their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate special requests and dietary requirements to the kitchen team, and ensure timely and precise delivery of all items.
- Maintain an immaculate dining environment by ensuring tables are properly set, clean, and fully stocked with all necessary condiments, glassware, and flatware before, during, and after service.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with grace, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless communication, efficient service flow, and a unified approach to guest satisfaction.
- Process bills and payments accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and reconcile end-of-shift reports in accordance with established procedures.
- Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times, ensuring full compliance with local and international standards.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings, ongoing training sessions, and team meetings to continuously refine skills and stay updated on new menu items, promotions, and service standards.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies to ensure the service area is always well-prepared and adequately stocked.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture by mentoring junior staff, sharing best practices, and leading by example during peak service periods.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably within a hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-volume hospitality establishment.
- Strong understanding of table service techniques, including formal plating, silver service, wine service, and buffet management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the hospitality schedule.
- Physical stamina to remain on your feet for extended periods and carry trays or equipment as needed.
- Basic proficiency in POS systems and point-of-sale technology for order processing and billing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene protocols relevant to the F&B industry.
Preferred Skills
- Certification or formal training in hospitality management, culinary arts, or food and beverage operations.
- Multilingual abilities — proficiency in English and Arabic is highly desirable; additional languages are a strong advantage.
- Experience with upselling techniques and the ability to enhance the guest experience while contributing to revenue targets.
- Familiarity with wine and beverage programs, including wine regions, varietals, and cocktail preparation.
- Previous experience working in luxury or five-star hospitality environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during busy service periods.
