About the Role
Airswift, a global manpower provider specializing in the Energy, Infrastructure & IT sectors, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Qatar. This is an opportunity for an experienced process engineering professional to contribute to large-scale projects within one of the world's most dynamic energy regions.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize process engineering designs for energy and infrastructure projects.
- Lead process simulation, modeling, and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of process systems.
- Prepare and review process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing calculations.
- Ensure all process design activities comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and HSE regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
- Support commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of process facilities.
- Conduct risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and troubleshooting of operational issues.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors to drive project milestones forward.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the energy, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.
- Strong proficiency in process simulation software such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent tools.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards including API, ASME, and ISO codes relevant to process design.
- Proven experience leading process engineering workstreams on EPC or large-scale capital projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent credential.
- Experience with LNG, refining, gas processing, or water treatment facilities.
- Familiarity with digital twin technologies and advanced process optimization methods.
- Prior experience working with global manpower providers or engineering consultancy firms.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
