About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracting Manager to oversee and manage contracting operations across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving vendor negotiations, contract management, and strategic partnerships within the travel and tourism sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep regional expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in managing complex contracting processes across multiple markets.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end contracting activities across the MENA region, including vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and agreement finalization
- Develop and execute regional contracting strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives and market dynamics
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, hotel partners, ground operators, and service providers throughout the Middle East and North Africa
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing structures, and contractual conditions to maximize value and minimize risk
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new contracting opportunities and emerging market trends
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure seamless contract implementation
- Monitor contract performance, ensure compliance with agreed terms, and manage renewals and amendments proactively
- Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior leadership on regional contracting performance and pipeline
- Stay current with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and local market conditions across MENA countries
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in contracting, procurement, vendor management, or a similar role within the travel and tourism industry
- Demonstrated experience managing contracts and supplier relationships across the Middle East and North Africa region
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills with a proven ability to secure favorable commercial terms
- Excellent understanding of contract law, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in contract management tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic and/or French is strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel regularly within the MENA region as business needs require
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Experience working with international travel companies, tour operators, or hospitality groups
- Familiarity with GDS systems, booking platforms, and travel technology solutions
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar contract portfolios
- Knowledge of sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel frameworks
- Established network of industry contacts across the MENA travel and hospitality sector
